The Ragamuffin Experience is designed to capture everything that you love about your pets. We'll spend an afternoon together in Williamstown or Yarraville Gardens, creating fun action shots, beautiful portraits and natural photos with your family.
Your dog will have the BEST. DAY. EVER!!! exploring a gorgeous park with their favourite people! It’s an experience neither of you will ever forget and it’s all about celebrating the bond that you share together.
Out of the happy craziness of our afternoon spent spoiling your pet (treats! toys! places! people!), a gallery of artistic portraits will emerge. We will meet again for your Session Reveal at the Ragamuffin Showroom.
This tends to be the favourite part of the experience. Laugh, smile and maybe even shed a tear while you relive your special afternoon through a short film that captures everything you love about your furry family. Your heart will burst with pride and joy and together we will go through your entire gallery of photographs to design your custom artwork together.
Our goal here is create something gorgeous that will not only will be proudly displayed in your home, but will become a treasured keepsake for years and years to come.
“Caitlin is so talented! We really cannot express how much we love the results of our shoot!
The whole process was so enjoyable and Caitlin really went above and beyond every step of the way, from getting the perfect shot to communicating after the shoot, answering questions, making adjustments and allowing us to be flexible with our payment plan.
Such attention to detail and so professional, thorough and a pleasure to work with! You can tell she loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into her art and her business!! Cannot recommend highly enough!”

Williamstown Botanic Gardens
Nestled by the sea, Williamstown Botanical Gardens includes a striking palm tree avenue, ornamental fountain and an intricate maze of pathways.
Full of gorgeous trees, this is a quieter spot, so particularly ideal for more nervous dogs or those who have trouble concentrating.
Yarraville Gardens includes an off-leash area perfect for "zoomies", shady trees for portraits and a variety of flower beds that add a vibrant pop of colour to photographs.
The tall palm trees and Melbourne's docks create a unique background from the top of the park.
Caitlin McColl is recognised as one of the world's top Pet Photographers, having photographed thousands of dogs over the years.
She began her career as a fashion photographer, winning awards and exhibiting her work internationally. Photographing beautiful people was good work, but deep down, she yearned for something more. More meaning, more passion, more SOUL.
In 2010, after adopting her scruffy dog, Lyra, it was clear what she had to do. Caitlin quit the fashion industry and launched Ragamuffin Pet Photography. She didn't have any experience photographing pets, but she had a camera round her neck, a heart full of love and her scruffy, furry family by her side.
Eight years later, Caitlin is the author of three books (Tails of Melbourne, Tails of Tasmania and Tails of Adoption) and founder of the Tails of World Collective. She has raised thousands of dollars for animal rescue charities, is co-host of The Pet Photographers Club podcast and she teaches aspiring pet photographers around the world how to grow their own businesses with soul.
Caitlin lives in Melbourne, Australia with Benny and their scruffdogs Maple and Lyra, feline sidekick William and bearded dragon, Hufflepuff Lizardnardo (Puff for short!)
She's a bit of an introvert and a lot of a dork. When she's not out photographing animals, you can find her playing card games with her better half and a cold drink, or snuggled up on the couch with the furkids and a good book.
