Hi, I’m Caitlin — founder of Ragamuffin Pet Photography.
Since 2010, I’ve led my small, amazing team of dog-loving photographers. We’re known for our natural style, patient approach, and genuine care.
We know your dog means the world to you — and we promise to treat them with the same love we give our own.
It all started with a scruffy little pup named Lyra — the kind of dog who leaves paw prints on your heart (and muddy ones on the floor). I nicknamed her my little ragamuffin, and she taught me patience, presence, and how to slow down. Inspired, I began photographing pets and their people. When I saw how deeply these portraits touched their owners, I knew I’d found something worth dedicating my life towards.
That little dream has taken us on some incredible adventures — publishing books, teaching photographers around the world, and raising over $200,000 for pet rescue. But the heart of it has never changed: celebrating everything you love about your dog.

It starts with a real conversation...
Get in touch and we'll have a chat to learn all about your furkids and your dream photoshoot. This covers everything from location and dates, to what you might wear and bring on the day.

CREATING
Today is all about spoiling your dog - treats, toys, cuddles, walks!
Using natural light and the landscape around us, we’ll create warm, personality-filled portraits. Sometimes gently guiding you, other times simply following the moment.
Sessions typically run for 1-2 hours, but there is no stopwatch - we always work at your pet’s pace.

ENJOYING
Two weeks later, it’s time for your online Session Reveal. Enjoy your highlights slideshow (bring tissues!) and preview all the gorgeous portraits. Together we’ll design your custom portrait artwork - right down to frame colours and album covers.
Everything is handcrafted, professionally printed and delivered straight to your door. The full process from shoot to delivery takes around eight weeks.
