~ Put your mate in the frame ~ Herald Sun

Yesterday I was very excited to open the paper and see that my interview with Paula Beauchamp for the Herald Sun had come out in the Business Daily Section [confession: I didn't just happen to open the paper and nonchalantly read it. I may have woken up very excited in the morning and rushed to work so that I could see if the article had been printed!] Paula Beauchamp was a really lovely journalist and I'm pleased as punch that she chose to interview me about Ragamuffin Pet Photography and the rising trend of pet portraiture. An extract of what she had to say...

CAITLIN McColl's scruffy ragamuffin Lyra not only gave her unconditional love. The pointer cross helped her achieve financial security through the launch of a successful business, Ragamuffin Pet Photography.  "I was looking to do something I could feel passionate about, and Lyra just inspired me," the RMIT graduate said. The business idea won Ragamuffin third prize in RMIT's 2011 business plan competition and, less than a year since its launch, the boutique business is an unqualified success. "It's grown quickly - much quicker that I expected," Ms McColl said. "A lot of people have a very special bond with their pets and they want to document that with high quality, artistic photographs. Many didn't know this was even an option, but word is spreading fast..."

A scan of the article, and some portraits of my Lyra since I wouldn't be here without her!
