The theme for this photograph is Depth of Field. I found myself thinking about Brooke Shaden (an amazing fine art photographer) who uses a peculiar technique to create a depth of field within her photographs. Rather than shoot with a wide lens to capture an entire scene (thus increasing the depth of field), Shaden shoots on a long lens, capturing multiple frames and stitches them all together later in photoshop. This allows her to retain the narrow depth of field resultant from a longer lens, whilst also allowing her to show a wider scene. When I read this week's theme, I immediately knew that it was time for me to pay homage to one of the finest conceptual artists of our generation (and try out a new technique at the same time!).
