Archer, Bundy and Dizzy

In a nutshell . . .

'We have known Archer and Bundy (now 11.5 years) since they were only two days old and they have been a part of our family since they were eight weeks. Dizzy is their adopted brother, from Labrador Rescue Australia. Our world has been totally shaken by the news about Archer…'

What makes that tail wag . . .

'They all love food - classic labs! There is a little creek near our house that they love, so photos of them there, running around and having the best time would be perfect. They all love the water (Dizzy especially loves muddy puddles) and enjoy their walks in the bush.’

A routine vet appointment had revealed the news they never wanted to hear. Their sweet girl, Archer was fighting a losing battle with growing tumour.

Amanda got in touch with me - would it be possibIe to organise a session at their local creek? Archer can’t travel far due to the size of her tumour, but we’d love photos of her with her brothers, enjoying their favourite spot…

It was a beautiful afternoon. She may have walked a little slower, but Archer had the time of her life exploring the bush and creek around their local reserve. Her brother, Bundy, proudly led the pack and their younger brother Dizzy made us all laugh with his silly zoomies.

By the end of the session, we were packing a trio of muddy, wet, tired and thoroughly happy labrador seniors into the car.

A few weeks later, Archer went downhill and on Monday 21st December, her family said goodbye. I am so honoured to have been able to help them celebrate the life of such a sweet, gentle, funny girl.
