Participants receive a $450 Ragamuffin Gift Certificate, which covers the full professional photoshoot experience, plus a complimentary 8x12” Fine Art Print (valued at $395).

Please note: this is a creative photo series, so selections are based on a mix of breed availability, location variety and dog suitability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your complimentary $450 Ragamuffin Gift Certificate covers our full professional photoshoot experience, plus we’re gifting all A-to-Z participants a complimentary 8x12” Fine Art Print (valued at $395).
We do ask for a small $50 reservation fee to secure your session time/date. This ensures our limited spots go to committed participants (and avoids no-shows/ last minute cancellations for us).
The reservation fee is fully refundable if you attend your Session Reveal and decide not to purchase anything — or simply credited towards your order if you do.

Photoshoots are available on Saturdays & Sundays over the next three months.
We photograph in beautiful, dog-friendly outdoor locations around Melbourne and Victoria: St Kilda, Williamstown, Darebin, Lilydale, Sorrento, Mornington and Geelong.
Fine art prints & Master Digital Files (high-resolution) are $395
Framed Wall Art starts from $695

Every printed portrait comes with a free web-sized digital copy to share online.
Photos are never impossible — we work with dogs of all personalities, and we’re here to make the experience as stress-free as possible.
Some of our go-to strategies:
✔ Using a long zoom lens so we can photograph from a distance
✔ Choosing a quiet time of day and on-leash locations so we can avoid other dogs
✔ Working at your dog’s pace—there are no time limits!
Nope! Trust me, we’ve seen it all—zoomies, zero recall, sitting for a grand total of 0.5 seconds. It’s all part of the fun and every session is tailored to the dog.
We use treats, toys, and loads of patience, and since leads can be edited out, they don’t even need to sit still! There is no such thing as "too crazy" when it comes to a Ragamuffin photoshoot!
Yes — we’d love that! While we’ll focus on the featured breed for the series, we’re always happy to include your other dogs in a few extra portraits during the session. Just let us know how many furry family members you have when you apply.
The A-to-Z project is going to be an ongoing photo series published on our website and shared online.

Hi there! I’m Caitlin – founder of Ragamuffin Pet Photography.

I started Ragamuffin 15 years ago, inspired by my scruffy rescue pup, Lyra. Today, we’re proud to be recognised as one of Australia’s top animal portrait studios, with a small team of expert, dog-loving photographers working across Melbourne and Victoria.
